Drew recently completed his PhD in the Pelegri lab and is now serving as a postdoctoral fellow. Drew’s research involves combining molecular and developmental biology techniques with computational and statistical analyses of large data sets to answer basic biological questions about early development of vertebrate embryos, using zebrafish as a model system.
Drew has taken advantage of a variety of formal and informal teaching and outreach opportunities with a variety of audiences. He has taught discussion sections, designed and co-taught a developmental biology and conservation course, conducted independent research, and mentored undergraduates. Additionally, Drew has served as both the Secretary and President of the Guiding Eyes for the Blind Graduate Council, along with being an ongoing speaker/facilitator for the McBurney Disability Resource Center.
